Reference years and definitions
Population, land area, GDP and other indicators can vary by source, methodology, geographic scope and reference year. A value may represent an estimate, census result or projection. Comparisons should only be made after checking these details.
Distances
The distance calculator estimates great-circle distance between reference coordinates for countries. It is not a driving distance, flight path, travel time or exact distance between national borders.
Maps and boundaries
Map boundaries, names and territorial depictions can differ by provider and may be disputed. The site uses third-party map services and datasets; their attribution and licensing requirements apply.
Images
Destination images may be served by third-party image providers and are illustrative. They may not depict the exact location or conditions described.
